Naming a Real Estate Company
You love House Hunters International and Selling New York. You’ve got your license and you’re going to start your own real estate company and make your fortune; great! Now, what should you name your real estate company?
Over the last few blogs we’ve been speaking about industry specific company naming so we’re going to stay on that theme. Today we’ll be discussing how to develop a targeted name for a real estate company and the unique industry specific challenges.
Buying a home can be very stressful and with many clients there’s a lot of hand holding, particularly for first time buyers (maybe even some therapy). We bring this up because you’re going to want a name that says longevity and stability; a real estate name that people will find comfort in. People want to know that they can trust your real estate company and that you’re going to be there from start to finish.
Available Names for a Real Estate Business:
One difference between naming a real estate company and other industries is a region specific name can work quite well. California Realtors or Real Estate of New York will work just fine if you’re a small company or one person who focuses on a certain area.
While this type of real estate name tells people that you’re connected to that specific area and may be able to find better homes for them within that area, you won’t be able to expand your business out of that area.
If you’re a multinational company or looking to expand your real estate company in either size, scope or expand into more areas, you’re going to want a more general name will work. A name that’s a bit more generic but still has positive association will be best, for example Ace Brokerage.
People have asked us about creative names for a real estate company, the quick answer is that we love them but warn them to be careful about puns and being to “cutesy” as it may turn away men.
We want to give you a few examples of what your real estate company name could be with some names developed by our Brand Development Team and tell you why they work:
Fairway Dream – developed specifically for selling houses or condos located near a golf course, in a golf comunity or even for someone developing a golf resort.
Buy A Loft – the name says it all right here. With new “loft” style buildings popping up all around the country, you don’t have to just be in New York anymore.
Housepert – a clever combination of “house” and “expert.” This real estate business name is friendly, not scary, and yet still lets people know that you’re an expert in your field.
Some other names for a real estate company which we’ve developed include A List Broker, Mozart Realty – great visualization and has an upscale feel to it, House Connex – a modern and interesting name that stands out in a crowded market and 365 Dwell – the 365 says that you’re always working for your clients and “dwell” gives the name an interesting and attention grabbing aspect to it.
The Brand Development Team has put together quite a few different types of real estate names so click on the links below and check them out.
